Printing non UI documents

Hello all,

I have a simple problem yet again. I need to print documents (using LotusScript) that must not be displayed on screen. As far as I know, NotesUIDocument and NotesUIView’s print methods are useless in this context as they print documents that are in front-end.

More exactly, what I want to do is initiate the process from a Button hotspot in a document. Then using LS, in the Click event of this hotspot, print the onscreen document and fetch a document from a view and print it too. My problem is that I dont have a print method in the back-end NotesDocument class.

There is probably a workaround, but I have little experience in these matters.

Thanks in advance for your precious help.

Not really possible, but you can open the document using lotusscript, do a uidocument print and then close the document. Depends on whether your users are happy with the screen flickering that goes on.

Thanks Dan,

I guess my users will have to get used to that flickering. I really have no choice. Anyhow, its not really a big problem because they dont have to print many documents using that method.
