Hello All,
We have a user who is on Notes 6 / Windows 2000. The problem is everytime he prints it runs all the text together. Almost like it take out all the spaces in the document or view. Anyone shed some light on this? It would be much appreciated.

I have a user with the XP operating system, and a direct connection to a Lexmark printer. His Notes client is 6.X ( sorry I don’t know exactly ). This users documents appear to be fine on the screen but when printed all the text does run together in a given paragraph. Paragraph alinement is maintained in the sense that the end of paragraph causes double space before the next paragraph.
The spaces seem to disappear from their intended location, and usually appear at the end of the sentence before the period. Some other punctuation like the left parenthesis, will have a pile of space to the left as well. Usually hard to count but apparently the same number missing from the sentance.
Have tried many different default fonts, changed from PCL to PostSript no effect. PC doens’t have this problem in any other application, printer correctly record Windows test print page.

Notes 6.5.1, Windows 2000, Lexmark Optra printer. Same story – except that it’s not EVERY email. Some of 'em are just fine. I haven’t even been able to narrow it down to a particular font of set of people, except that it seems to be internal (not sure if it’s internal to that Field Office, or just internal vs. external) and appears to happen only with the default font (Default Sans Serif 10). Anybody resolve this?

Exact same problem here. Notes 6.5.1 on a Windows 2000 PC, printing to a Lexmark Optra. Some emails (not all of them) print with no spaces between words. It’s internal emails that have the problem. Emails from the Internet print fine. This is using the default font settings. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

I am seeing the same sort of thing. Client is 6.5.2 printer is a Lexmark. Seems to be that going through the print server drops all the spaces and returns. Print direct and everything is OK. Obviously any help much appreciated.M

Changing the default fonts under User Preferences to Arial resolved this printing issue for us.
