I am sticking html table into richtext field [“text/html” mime content] and the table looks ok on the screen [column width is as i specified it] but when i print it out the columns are narrow. this happens only when i try to specify width in TD tag.

Are you specifying the column width as a percentage, or # of pixels? The printer pixels might be a different size than the screen pixels.
