Print multiple documents on each page doesn't work on server based dbs ANY good reason why?

Please, I am waiting to hear the answer on this and so is my client.

I just selected 3 docs in a view (a server based db) and it worked.

I chose print

On the Documents Style tab, I selected “Print each document on a new page”

Printed the doc, and low and behold each doc started printing on a new page as instructed. This is with Notes 6.5 Sept 26, 2003

So what is special about your db?

Are you printing manually or with an agent?

What printer driver?

Subject: Sorry wasn’t asking for assistance but for a reason, they designed it that way and I am curious why.

There doesn’t seem to be a design limitation that I am aware of, but perhaps there is. Otherwise it is a very odd limitation.

Carl, that is a different setting. The one that only works locally is “print multiple documents on each page.”

Hhmm, for me that option is greyed out whether it is local or server.

There are some things you have to do with the form (outlined in the help file)…

Have you called IBM and asked them?

No, I don’t have a direct line to the loti on the dev team and my prior experience is that support doesn’t have answers to why particular “features” are the way they are. So I thought I might drop it in here for a try. Do you always call IBM before you post here? I guess then you never have questions to post.

  1. My question was simple. I wondered if you had asked IBM about this. That is all.

  2. I would never call support for help in something that was not product related per se, and yes I have posted questions in here, as well as responded to a great many. I have also posted soapbox entries when things about the product just done ticked me off when there was no apparant reason. Again, I just wondered (as I wonder if you searched the forum for this before you posted now as well as there are a number of postings).

  3. You have a client, so obviously you are a consultant. Are you a member of PartnerWorld which would help get you the answers you need?

And I if I choose to post anonymously, that is my choice. When I offer off line help here. I provide an email address and at that point, someone will find out who I am. And there are others in this forum who know who I am.

So please, please do not read into the question I posed. I understand it can be taken differently than I intended, and for this I aoplogize.
