Print attachement automatically

Hi, i am looking into doing automatically something that currently is manual. I wonder if the following would be possible:we have to create a pdf out of every html file that is sent to our task id, and then mail it back to a vm address, would that be possible using lotusscript, or some sort of macros in lotus.

here is the way i would see it work:

on email reception from specific id

open email

view attachement

select acrobat as printer

print file to folder(or somewhere in LN?)

create new email

insert to address (always the same)

attach file

send email

would some action like that be possible?, it would be ok to trigger it with a butto or something lie that if it is not possible upon email reception.

would the css code of the html need to be stored somewhere?

i know i am asking a lot, but i just need to know if it is possible and to be ponted in some direction. I have created a button that can open an attachement and print the attachement to pdf, but how do i continue?, i tried doing the same with an agent but somehow it did not work

thanks for the help

you can use pdf995 to save the attachment as pdf file , this link will help you : http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/55c38d716d632d9b8525689b005ba1c0/40c8d30dd586ae63852571e000287037?OpenDocument

then all you need to do is create a mail and enter the file that was created as an attachment and send it

Thanks Lior, unfortunately, i am not an expert in lotus script (i tried this script after having downloaded the script and created and agent and it does not work)

would you know where i can get more infor on programming lotus script. I would like to modify the script on the link you sent me to use Acrobat and have it work.

thanks for any possible help you can give me

Subject: RE: print attachement automatically

can you be a bit more specific on what is the problem ?

what you should do is create a post mail received agent that will test the sender id

then save the attachment (is it a word document ? ) to a known folder.

then open word -

//

Set word = CreateObject(“Word.Application”) 'Create Word object

Call word.documents.open(docname)

Set worddoc = word.activedocument 'Get a handle for the active document

call worddoc.printout

//

docname = is the path to the document

you need to set pdf995 to be your default printer

put this in your pdf995.ini file:

[Parameters]

Install=1

Quiet=1

Use GPL Ghostcript=1

Output Folder=f:\scripts\output\

Initial Dir=f:\scripts\output\

Output File=SAMEASDOCUMENT

Autolaunch=0

Size=a4 8.3 11.7

//

this will create a pdf in folder f:\scripts\output\

the problem is that the pdf creation takes time you can or let the agent wait

or create a second agent that will run later and will create a new memo and attach the file and send it

I hope this will help you
