Noticed lot of entries on this subject already, but I will give it another shot .Our mailfiles (6.5.3 and 6.5.4 and server is 6.5.5 FP2) have quotas and warning threshold. Users work with a local replica, which replicates every 15 minutes.
Recently we had the “obey quotes” setting in the configuration document changed to “deliver anyway” in order to be able to receive incoming messages. However I thougt that the storage of send email would still not work with this setting, but it does.
Is this working as design or do I overlook a (combination of) setting (s) ?
Subject: Prevent storage of send mail when quota is exceeded
do you have the notes.ini parameter ‘Repl_Obeys_Quotas’ set? I’m not sure if it is honoured for replication with a client, but it might be worth testing.
Subject: RE: Prevent storage of send mail when quota is exceeded
We had this setting in the server configuration document, but I removed it when we loosened the quota setting for users to receive mail again even if the quota was reached.I will check out the different options of this setting.

Peter,
I checked this and appearantly this notes ini setting has other purposes.
I did have a user today that came in and told me he could not send email out (because he was over quota). So the only possible explanation I now have is that the users that grow over quota strong were already over the current quota setting when I set it.
