Greetings –
First - many thanks to all who’ve helped me out so much recently.
Second - I have a database with Locking enabled. It’s working great with the exception of one little thing: If a user has a document open for reading and it’s modified by someone else they receive the “Document has been modified since opening, reopen in edit mode from view.” message.
The message isn’t the problem. It’s if they don’t do what it essentially says: close it and reopen. If they continue and decide to Edit it a save conflict will be created.
What I’d like to do: Is there a way to test for this error and set a flag/field if it occurs whereby I could prevent editing on the Querymodechange event? Or something similar? If nothing else could I edit the message?
Am I dreaming?
Many thanks again!
Josh
