Prblems to get emails with pop3: failure “minimum time between mail checks violation”I try to get my mails at bluewin.ch account and since any time it dos’nt work.

The worst thing, with Outlook it works fine, but this is’nt a solution :frowning:

I trided it with Notes 6.0.1 on Windows XP, and also with Notes 5.0.6, same message, same problem.

Suppotion: first step Notes read headers, logout and as second step tried to get all the messages.

Question: can I define that Notes get the messages without read premiously header infos?

Thanks to all people who tried to help me!Finally I found a solution to use Lotus Notes with Pop3 and I hadn’t to change to Outlook :slight_smile:

There is a mail server freeware, called Hamster, for collecting pop3 mail accounts and Notes has to connect to this mail server - this is working quite well.

My last problem is, to write a Hamster script for getting periodically my mails. The scrip I use is getting mails but the loop doesn’t work, so I have to activate them manual.

Any help?

I had the same problem and solved it by using IMAP4. Instead of server pop3.bluewin.ch use imap.bluewin.ch

Comment from Bluewin (in German):

Die Verwendung von IMAP im Mail-Client wird momentan von Bluewin nicht gross beworben, da noch nicht alle Kunden WebMail aktiviert haben. Grund ist, dass bei Kunden, welche WebMail nicht aktiviert haben diejenigen Mails im Posteingang welche älter als 90 Tage sind gemäss Leistungsbeschreibung automatisch gelöscht werden. Diese Löschung findet bei eingeschaltenem WebMail nicht mehr statt.

Da bei IMAP die Mails auf dem Server verbleiben sollte WebMail aktiviert sein, um die automatische Löschung zu verhindern.

WebMail ist bei neuen Accounts standardmässig aktiviert.

What a coincidence! I just added the same problem to the ND6 forum. Please let me know if you got any resolution to this problem.

I promise to do the same, if I find a solution.
