Supposedly according to the lotus designer help documentation, using @Command([FileOpenDatabase] allows you to specify whether or not to open a database in a new window by using the Newinstance parameter:
From help:
newinstance
Number. Optional. Specify “1” if you want the view to open in a new window, even if the database is already open in that view. If you omit this parameter, the new window is opened only if the database is opened in a new view.
The following code opens 10 instances / windows of my database regardless if the parameter is “0”, “1”, “”, 0 or 1 is used.
database := @Subset(@DbName; -1);
server := @Name([CN]; @Subset(@DbName; 1));
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
@PostedCommand( [FileOpenDatabase]; server : database; “”; “”; “0”);
I assume this is because a view is not being specified - the default for my db is a form in a frameset with an outline on the left side - typical notes navigation.
Does anybody have any ideas how to open a database to its default (if it does not have a view as its default) without opening additional windows / instances?
