Users from Outlook want to have their Notes client startup when they boot up their machine. Apparently Outlook has this preference setting.
Haven’t seen anything in Notes or in the forums on this,
thoughts?

Subject: Possible to have the Notes client auto launch upon system startup?
Presuming this is Windows, just drag the Notes icon into the Start / Startup folder. Any application can be put there to be launched when windows starts up.

I was hoping for a preference setting within the client itself (just to be able to say “Notes can do this to, go to File\Preferences.…”)
but this accomplishes the same goal
many thanks

Maybe this is just me, but I find dragging a symbol to a folder on the start menu a log easier (and more intuitive) than fiddling with any options or preferences dialog.
I also cannot remember to have seen this option in Outlook 2002, but well, how many years does it take to just look at each Outlook option once?

I think you have to either do the above, drag the notes shortcut into the All Users Startup folder, or add the notes client to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
