Positioning values

Hi all,

   I have three Textfields with "multilpe values property". The documents I select from a picklist will enter into these fields(column values).I want to position these field entries.

Eg:- If suppose, one of the column in the picklist has alphabets 'A",“B”,“C”…etc.,First document has “A”,second “B”…similarly third “C”…when i select the documents in order then the field i said above will have “A” as first entry,“B” as second…

My doubt is, if I select "B",the second document,the field entry will contain only "B" as first...

How do i get the positions of selected entries in a multiple value field in run time?

can anyone help me using Formula language.?

do we have commands to get position of a field entry?

You will need to ensure that the order is the way you want it in your code. You would have to do something like getting the results from the picklist and then evaluate them for which position you want it in the returned array and pace them accordingly. If you are doing this in an @Function then you could us @Sort to put the documents in a specific sort order before returning them to the field.
