Hi all, I need your suggestions for the situation below.
I have a picklist in a form.In the picklist I choose multiple documents. These documents have three fields(columns in view).
I have to set these column values from different documents into another form in their respective fields. So I've got each column values in a three text fields with multiple values property enabled.(First column in picklist view is categorised.)
Now how can i split these values n put it in each fields accordingly.
By passing categorised column as key, can i retrieve values in other fields and populate it ?
I need your suggestions because I'm new to lotus notes.. Will this work good?

Hi,
Try Looking at PicklistCollection in desiger help.
Once you have the documents selected you will get a document collection returned so your code would look somthing like this:
dim ws as new notesuiworkspace
dim collection as Document collection
dim colldoc as notesdocument
dim currentdoc as notesdocument
set collection = ws.picklistcollection (parameters here)
if collection.count = 0 then
'nothing selected - exit
exit sub
else
set colldoc = collection.getfirstdocument
while not colldoc is nothing
'get values of seleted doc and use them in you currentdoc
set colldoc = collection.getnextdocument(colldoc)
wend
That should get you looking in the right direction.
Cheers
