POP3 and sender address

Hello

I tried to configure to use Notes as POP3 client to send and receive mails.

I created the accounts and configured

the location document to deliver directly

to the internet and I also defined

an internet mail address.

MailDB is local, server should not be

used.

The problem is that sending of mails works,

but the senders email address is in

hierachical format, e.g.

Firstname Lastname/Company/Country

and this way it’s difficult to

reply on those mails.

All fields look correct except

Principal, which causes this.

I thought that setting the internet

mail address would be enough to

get a well formatted internet sender

address, any ideas?

I have the same problem in R6 and R7.

The problem is that the “Internet mail address” field of the location document gets empty by no apparent reason.

Every time i open Notes, i have to manually check the location document and correct the Internet Mail address field if it s in blank.

I have a similar but somewhat different POP3 sender address problem. Sender addresses are formatted correctly as user@domain.com in the “Sender:” field. However the “From:” field is being formatted as firstname_lastname/notesdomain@domain.com. This did not happen with R5, it’s new in R6. A bug? A configuration change required? Help much appreciated.
