Policy doesn't seem to be working

I seem to be having an issue with Dynamic Policies.

I have a test Desktop Setting setup to send out a Custom Welcome Page, Set the server option and to upgrade Mail Files using the Mail Template section and to enable provisioning.

I then created a Dynamic Policy using the above Desktop settings and used the Policy assignment to send the policy out to 5 people including myself. I changed my mailfile back to 8.

If everything works correctly, the policy should see the I’m running Notes 8.5 and using mailfile template ucmail8. It should then prompt to upgrade the mailfile to unitymail8.5 correct? (We’re using custom mailfile templates).

Well if that’s how it is suppose to work, it’s not. Can anyone guide me as to what to look for to why it isn’t working. I setup the policy about 20 hrs ago.

This is a one time setup option… The first time your Notes Client runs 8.5 it will check to see if there is a template configured to use for 8.5, if so it will convert to it… Since you already upgraded to Release 8.5 and connected to your Home Server once, it does not run again if you downgrade to the 8.0 template…

It’s more than just a notes.ini change to get it to run setup again… I believe there is something in the profile note of your mail file that needs clearing as well…
