Policy assignment to Notes 7.x clients

If you create policies and assign them to your users via the ‘policy assignment’ in the document itself these settings will not work for Notes clients older than 8.x. If you assign them via person document in the Domino administrator the policy will be set as expected also for Notes clients older than 8.x.

Did somebody make the same experience?

I’d expect it to work that way. For legacy clients, you’ll have to assign policies the old way - or upgrade clients.
