Policies in User Preferences

After the upgrade from 6.5.1 to 6.5.3, I have users complaining that after they changed the mail preferences it goes back to the original settings. I have explicit policies only and just using it for testing for a couple users including myself. Deleted all explicit policies and still the same problem. The only fix that was made from notes tech support is to refresh the names.nsf design and replicate to all servers. It worked to some but not to all users. Please advise,

Have you checked that the users for which it doesn’t work have an assigned policy (since the policy is explicit)?Person document → Administration → Policy Management → Assigned policy

I don’t think it works if this field is empty unless you’re using organizational policies.

Yes, I did that and all the users who are complaining has no entry in the person’s document. They are now advising me to go to the client’s local address book and delete everything in the $(Policies). I will try that.
