PLEASE HELP! View total percentage problem!

I have a simple view that is totaling wrong. The top & bottom of each column say 100% when they should say other percentages. Let’s say for example that there are 4 documents in the view and the column contains 0, 0, 1, 1 for the values. The total at the bottom should be 50%, but it says 100%.

What do I need to do to fix this? I have tried percent of all documents, percent of parent category, and also the averaging options. The closest thing to correct is the average per document option, but then I get 0.5 when what I want is for it to say 50%.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Trish

I haven’t found a way to look at your example where the total from all documents is anything other than 100%. There is no way for the view to “know” that you meant for all documents to have a value of 1. And it’s just a coincidence that the average per document has the “right” value. (By the way, you can use the formatting tab of the column properties to set the number display style if you want to display a percentage.)

THANK YOU, STAN! That was it, just the display option. I used average per document and changed the column display to number-percentage. Wonderful!
