Please help me with archive problem. The problem is When I archive e-mails the mails are not transferred to respective Folders but to the All Documents. Is there a way or script where we can tag those e-mails in all documents to reflect there parent folders, so we could see which e-mail belonged to which folder.
Or is there a way where we can bring back those e-mails from all documents to there respective folders.
The problem of the archive is a problem of the folder date. The folder date in the archive is newer than in the mail box.
So, one thing would be just to rename the folder and rename it back and then archive again.
But to do this with every single folder is a bit hard.
So to change the date of the folders for every folder is the thing to do.
Open the mailfile with the Notes designer.
Choose View / Go To / Folders.
Mark all folder of the user (with Ctrl + A) but do not check the folders below Group calendar. (You cand easily find it by the arrow on the left site).
So don’t check InBox, Outbox, Trash…
When you have marked all folders of the user right click, choose design properties. Uncheck “Prohibit design refresh or replace to modify”.
Wait a sec than check it again.
You now have changed the date on every folder.
Now you can archive again with the option archive now and all missing folders and mails will appear in the archive.
Thats odd. when i archive my emails in a particular folder it always goes to the same folder on the archive. the archiving even creates the folder if there is no folder yet in the archive.
maybe what you are referring to is the view. you will have to create a view on the archive so that when you click on that view the emails that met the condition will be shown on that view.
The problem might be with the views of the present archive database. Create a new archive database and enable archiving into it… The problem will be resolved…
THanks for replying. But user does not wants to have multiple archive. I solution I am looking for is that is there a way by which we can link the e-mail in All Documents to there Parent folders.
