Hi,
I am having a bit of a scratchy head moment and I am hoping that someone can help me before I start to bang it off my desk.
My setup is as follows, I have a domino server, call it server A, that everyone in the office uses for their mail, if the mail is external or to one of our remote servers then it gets routed by another server, call him server B. I also have a number of remote servers on ships that communicate with server B via satellite comms. My problem is that one of our new ship servers, call him server C, is out of comms and when people from the office on server A send email to the ship after a day they get a delivery failure saying the server is not responding. This mail stays in the queue on server A until the failure is issued then it is deleted, however with all my other ships if they are out of comms then the mail sits in the mail.box queue on server B and no delivery failure is sent back to the user and when the ship server comes back into comms then the mail is routed happily out to the ship server. I can’t find how I get the mail going out to my ship to sit in the queue on server B instead of server A. I have compared the configuration and connection documents of the new ship and one that works and they look the same. I have also looked for Mail time-out in the notes.ini but it isn’t there.
Please help! As any mail to the ship is getting deleted after a day and users will have to send it out again once the ship comes back into comms.
Server A is 6.5.5 FP3 and all the others are 6.5.5 FP2
Thanks in advance
Elle
