Platform Stats for HP Smart Array

Our server (HP Proliant DL380) has the following storage configuration:- internal drives as a RAID array on HP Smart Array controller, visible in Linux as /dev/cciss/c0d0

  • connection to a LUN on HP MSA1500 SAN, visible in Linux as /dev/sda.

When viewing platform statistics for Logical Disks, the information for the SAN based ‘disk’ appears (with AssignedName=sda), additionally I can see another Logical Disk with AssignedName=hda, this is the CD-ROM. However, the RAID array which is visible to OS as /dev/cciss/c0d0 is not visible as Logical Disk in Domino Platform Statistics. What can I do to make it appear there?

Subject: Same problem with me

I´m having the same situation and my hardware is Hp ProLiant DL380 G5.

I opened a PMR with IBM and they coudn´t help me about it. My stats show only hda device and not show the disks. Maybe because this is a controller ?

notes data is installed on /dev/cciss/c0d1p1
