Pick an element from a view (Web design)

Hello,I would like to know, in a Web application, how can I do to open a new window in order to pick up an element from a view.

I saw that Inotes mail access uses a similar thing to pick up addresses for sending a mail.

I know how to do it in a Notes application with a Notes client (Dialog list → Use view Dialog for choices).

But, from the Web, things are not so easy !

Any help will be appreciated.
