Phonegrid registration?

I have had two users (both upgraded via Smart Upgrade (8.5 FP1 to 8.5.1 using full kit) report an intermittent error. It is:

An internal error has occurred during: “Phonegrid registration”, java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException

I know that this is something to do with Sametime, we do not have voice enabled, but I do not know where to go to resolve.

We have had several users with this issue. To clear it up we’ve been having them delete or rename the Workspace folder (program directory\notes\data\workspace). You’ll have to re-enter some Sametime credentials or settings, but the error goes away.

I’m seeing a user who is getting this same error from time to time. We went the route of deleting the workspace folder and letting the client recreate it, but the issue resurfaced a few days later.

It’s consistent, it only happens on occasion.

User is running 8.5.1 on a Windows 7 laptop and he sleeps his computer to move it from home to work, from his desk to meetings, etc. The error tends to come up after turning the laptop back on. Wondering if anyone else has noticed a pattern or similar behavior coming out of sleep mode.

We just applied FP2 yesterday to see if this helps to resolve the error. No other side effects, just the nagging error.
