I have a user that has an ID that just allows Notes logon so she can access databases BUT has no mail file. She has changed job and now needs a mail file created. I have changed her person document, this has not created a mail file on the server. So I must be doing something wrong.Does someone know how to get around this problem or know a URL that will help me

Just manually create a mail file for this user (File - Database - New) using the mail template on your server. Then put the file name of this new mail file (usually mail\uname) in the correct place in the person document. Make sure that you add the user into the ACL for the new mail file.

I think you should try to re-register the notes user & make changes to create mail database during registering.
