The cert.id is 10 years old. With this cert.id i created a new ou-cert.id with notes 8.5. After that i recertified a user with this new ou-cert.id. To open the users database with the new user.id takes nearly 30 minutes…After a fallback to the old id with old cert.id everything is fine!!! The database open time is fast as before.
Has anybody the same experience? And maybe a solution?
Subject: Client has to rename private design elements
After a rename, the client must rename private design elements in the mail file, which causes the delay. This should only happen once. The Technote below does not apply to 8.5 but has some background information.

thanks for this link. this is the solution…What a disease! After signing the db with the new id and further waiting everythings fine and performace went back
Subject: user specific db settings
it may be that the db has settings to maintain unread marks, or other user specific view settings. Since the new OU is a new user, Notes needs to build all the user specific cache for that user in the db
