Pending messages - no non delivery report

Have noticed several outband messages with status Pending.Messages have incorrect (misspelled) domain name.

What can I do to immediately send non delivery report to users who submitted mails with incorrect domain name?

Thank you for answer Gregg,

I know that Domino should send NDR but this is not working in our case.

When mail is sent to non-existent domain Domino is trying for 24 hours and only after that NDR is sent to Sender.

Have tried with

Return Non Delivery Report To Sender Of Selected Dead Messages and

Resend Selected Help Messages For A Final Time

but it does not work (this could be due to the fact that message is pending not Dead or Pending).

Message is not returned nor resend. It is returned only after 24 hours.

It looks like Domino treats non-existent domains the same as temporary unavailable domain. It tries to contact them for 24 hours then NDR is sent.

You really don’t have to do anything, Domino will send a Delivery Failure Report to the user. However, if you open the Administration Client and go to the Messaging Tab, you can force Domino to try one last time and then send a Delivery Failure. Your choices are listed in the buttons on the top of the screen.
