As part of our testing we have discovered that pasting a doc/view or db link into the body results in the XML code being pasted, not the link fior example.

I’ve searched forums etc but haven’t heard how anyone has addressed this.
Notes doc links are of course unique to Lotus Notes and what you are seeing is how they are represented when you paste them outside of the Notes environment.
One option you have is to paste the links into Notepad and save the file with a NDL extension. This should allow the user to double-click on the NDL attachment and have it launch Lotus Notes.
Another option you have is to use the Notes://… protocol instead.
Also, a lot of people recommend a product called CoExLinks that handles the conversion of doclinks when sending emails that contain them from Domino to Exchange.
