We recently upgraded to LN8.5 from LN6.5.6We are using Password Recovery process for password reset. We have a database called WVCAN ID Repository where the backup ID files are stored when created. The ID’s are saved on a default format ~~~tmpid.ide.
When we do a password recovery, we have to first locally save the backup ID file from the ID Repository, and save it, just in LN656, in any name format, like tmp.id, then proceed with password extraction and the password generated works when given to the user.
However, it’s inconsistent in LN8.5. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Our workaround is to save it locally under the name specific to the user requesting the password reset/recovery, i.e. jcamara.id, and it will always work.
Before I go ahead and open a PMR, I’d like to know if is this a known issue in LN8.5.
Just FYI - we are also using Lotus Single Sign On, to synch Activa Directory and LN passwords.
