On our domino network (running 6.0.1, 5.0.12, 5.0.3 French, etc, severs), the passthru sessions seem to cause problems on target servers, such as users being unable to connect, connections slowing down, etc.
The problem is particularly severe when the passthru server is our 6.0.1 and the target is a 5.0.3. Might the version difference be an issue?
Anyone encountered such a problem?

I’m not yet sure. One of our customers has got serious problems after upgrading a hub server from 4.6.7a to to 6.0.1 CF1 (German).
Connections are slowing down, other servers are unable to connect and CPU for nserver.exe goes up to 99%. Looking into the logs I’ve seen some passthru connections (that’s why I found your entry here :-)).
However, in my case I’m not sure it has to do with passthru. At the same time the server had always a lot of mail traffic to route.
