Passsword Recovery Problem

Dear Friends,I am facing a strange problem that I did success fully in R5x that is password recovery.

I have a server running Domino R6.5.1. I have sent password recovery info to a user he has accepted it. Next time when he forgets his password and i try to extract password recovery , it gives me as long string. But when I try to recover password after restarting notes client it does not accept.

The steps after extracting password I Followed are:

  1. extract recovery password successfully

  2. restated notes client then select id file then clicked on recovery password

  3. Then it displayed current recover autorities windows and prompting their password instead of the id i selected to recover password.

What could the problem. Pl help in details.

It is prompting for the recovery password. The long string you mentioned. The list of users is the admins that are password recovery authorities.

  1. enter recovery password

  2. enter new notes password
