Passing value from dialog box to underlaying form

I have a form with a text field and a button, which composes a dialog box.

On the dialog box, I have a hidden text field, which has the same name, as a text field on the form. I have also another text field on dialog box. I want to type something in this box, hit a ADD button and it set the hidden text field with the same content … I suppose, that it should be changed also on the main form … But it is not

Have you any idea, why?

In case, that I use the default OK button on the dialog box, it is working, but as soon as I use my own button, I can not force the application to update the parrent document.

The code for the dialog box button is like this:

@SetField(“hidden_text_field”;editable_text_field);

@Command([RefreshParentNote])

Nobody knows the answer? I still did not solve the problem …

Patience - 1 hour without a reply and you assume noone knows the answer!

Try changing your last line to:

@PostedCommand([RefreshParentNote])

I suspect the refresh is firing before the @SetField causing the value you’ve set not to change. Also remember that the value won’t display in the underlying document until the dialog box has been closed!
