Passing Server Commands Into Lotus Notes Console From A Batch File --> Revisited

I need to create a Windows batch file that passes console commands (tell http q, or tell notrix q) into a Notes server.

I know you can pass commands into a Notes sever console via an agent on another server but I would like to keep it within windows environment so I can simply run it anytime from the desktop.

It was suggested that I try the following in the batch file script.

Windows e.g.:

c:\lotus\domino\nserver.exe -c “show server”

c:\lotus\domino\nserver.exe -c “restart server”

This opens another instance of nserver.exe and tells me “nserver.exe already in use”. It doesn’t pass it to the current instance.

Is there a way of refering to the server name (DominoQA in this case) instead of the executable file (nserver.exe)?

Thank you,

I have written a batch file (or cmd) and it is working as designed!

Hi

Just an idea…

You may write an agent that use notesSession.SendConsoleCommand( serverName$, consoleCommand$ )

and the call it with e.g. some vbs file via web.
