During our migration to Notes we are using the smart host feature so Domino will forward any incoming mail for users not in it’s domain to the GroupWise server. The problem is HTML mail coming in is converted to RT then converted back to MIME before forwarding on to GroupWise. This renders it basically unreadable. Is there any way to get around this? I just need this to work for a couple of months.

Something is forcing MIME to CD conversion on inbound messages sent to your smart host. This must be happening as the messages pass through mail.box on the Domino server but should not happen unless the mail is to a Notes recipient whose person doc says they prefer Notes rich text.
Do you have any addin running on the Domino server that might be forcing a MIME to CD conversion on all mail (a virus scanner or something?

I do have an virus scanner running (inoculan) that scans all mail coming into mail.box. I will try to disable it and see if it helps.
