I have a need for a Manager to create a survey for an employee…so he has access to create at that point…I then have an authors field so that only the emplyee can fill out the survey…

But I wanted to give the manager the option to “Mark” a survey for deletion…I would then delete surveys at nite.

But I forgot that I can’t change my “Delete” field to “Yes” because the manager now has no edit access to the survey.

Is there a simple way around this catch 22??? Can I have only one field in a document editibalble to the manager ???

Subject: Partial Access…

You could run an agent from the action button that sets the delete field. There is an agent property Run on behalf of which can be set with the id of someone who does have edit rights to the document.

Alternatively you could use controlled access sections which would allow the manager to set the delete field directly from the action button but would not allow them to edit any other fields on the document.
