A repeating meeting repeats once every week for many weeks. When rescheduled, one or more invitees are not able to accept the rescdedule because they run into this error:“Part or all of this meeting is already on your calendar. You must decline those entries first before processing this notice.”
Users have Notes clients ver. 8.5.2 FP3 and mail databases ver. Dwa7 (7.0.2).
Anyone know how to solve this ?

The only way to solve this is to get the meeting chair to remove you from the meeting and accept this message and then get the chair to invite you again and then accept that message. You will get a message saying that Lotus Notes has to clean up an error, but it works.
Subject: Proposed solution doesn’t solve the problem
Chair has removed the invitee- Checked invitee calendar, all entries were removed
Chair has added the invitee
New invitation requests are received by invitee
When he wants to accept het gets the popup “Part or all of this meeting is already on your calendar, …”
In his “Calendar & Scheduling” the option to check conflicting calendar entries is disabled
