One of our Notes 8.5 has been crashing with this error message,

PANIC: Insufficient memory.
no NSD is produce

put in the notes.ini
DEBUG_THREADID=1
CONSOLE_LOG_ENABLED=1
Then check the console log for what the ID relates to in your console log.

can you take periodic nserver -m & post the latest ones prior to the crash to get some more information ?

I trace the issues to our backup software, “EMC Networker” for whatever reason that EMC is not able to explain the backup lockup on any DB that needs a consistency check. I ran Updall on the target mail file and re-ram the abckup job and this time all is good.
