PANIC: Invalid RFC822TextItem detected on 8.5

Shortly after upgrading our servers to domino 8.5 two of them started crashing seemingly at random times with the following message:

PANIC: Invalid RFC822TextItem detected

Anybody know what this means?

  1. Please post-this in the 8.5 Beta Forum.

  2. Please provide more information, such as:

    a. Exact-copy of the error message seen in the Domino Console (or Log.nsf, console.log, etc…)

    b. Callstack of Fatal Thread within the resulting NSD → resides within IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT directory of your Domino Server’s Data-Directory.

Hint: Search the NSD file for the string “panic” & you should get pointed-to the Fatal Thread’s call-stack.
