Palm Pre and Traveler 8.5.1 and PIN

I am setting up a Palm Pre to work with Traveler 8.5.1. The synching of mail, calendar, and contacts works great. But there is an annoying “phone lock” that happens every few minutes (you need to enter a 4 digit PIN to unlock the phone).

Traveler device settings and policy have some enticing options to control the security on the device. But I can’t get anything to disable the constant PIN challeng.

I know that the Pre is not formally supported, and the ActiveSynch versions might not be the same. But does anyone have any idea on a way to start controlling the device security?
