I have a user with a corrupt Personal Address book. The file size is 3.95 MG. We have tried to run fixup and updall on the database and it still will not open. The error messsage is that the database does not exist. Is there another utility that I can use to recover a corrupted database? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Try this, in this order:
-
fixup (already done)
-
nupdall (take the server task locally, and run it from the client ms-dos)
-
ncompact (take the server task locally, and run it from the client ms-dos)
-
try to create a replica of it
-
try to create a copy of it (notes-copy)
-
try to create a copy using windows explorer (a replica, really)
-
if nothing works, backups are nice to have… maybe a bit hard for locally names.nsf databases though…
