Reproducible at will, with a Notes 8.5.1FP2 client, that was initially setup with /Policy1 for example (explicit policy) derived all of the desktop settings contained within /Policy1 as expected. Later on, a new policy with major changes to the desktop settings is associated to the user (another explicit policy) /Policy2 is assigned to the user. The new desktop settings are not visible in the client, it’s still set to the old /Policy1 values. Checking the $policies view of names.nsf on the client shows that only the old /Policy1 documents are being stored in this view. Clearing the view, restarting the notes client and re-running DCC does not populate the $policies view with any settings documents now.
A new client setup, using /Policy2, gets all of the policy settings exactly as it should, eliminating the new policy as a source of trouble.
We’ve edited all of the old policies and re-saved them, edited and re-saved the person documents, and tried stepping through /Policy1 assigned, then no policy, and finally /Policy2, nothing has had any effect. So far Lotus is dumbfounded too by this, and I’m hoping someone else out there has run into this somewhere along the line and gotten a fix for it.
Thanks
