I have upgraded a mail file from a standard R7 template to an R8 template and now every time I open it I receive an “overflow” error. I replcae the design again with an R7 template and the error is no longer a issue. I have ran compacts, fixups, updalls and even replaced the design with a blank template and replaced it again with the standard mail template but the error still persists. Any ideas?

Try just re-entering the database Owner. There’s no need to replace the entire calendar profile.
Just re-enter the Owner and it should work.
