Overall policy summary

My organisation’s policies have grown rather organically over time and are therefor a complete mess. I have been tasked with generating a summary of all of the policies - basically a policy audit - so that we can rationalise them and to be honest I have absolutely no idea where to even start.

Does anyone have any hints, or is there a utility somewhere that can generate such a thing? I can’t believe that I would be the first person who has needed to do this.

Thanks!

Stephen

Hi Rodrigo,

I know how Policies work - that wasn’t the question. What I need is a way to get an overview of the current policies, so that I can develop a new, coherent set.

Thanks,

Hello Stephen!

In fact the management of Policies (create a new one, delete it, merge it, etc) it is strongly dependent of business requirements.

There is no a general suggestion that can be applied to all customer.

Below there are some documents related to Policies:

Subject: Poliocy Summary

There is not a way to examine/audit all policies using a built in tool, but you should be able to create a script that will examine and list all properties of your policy documents, and their corresponding policy settings documents.

Thanks Bradley.

I didn’t think there was any way of generating an overview in Domino itself - thanks for the confirmation. I was hoping that someone had developed a third-party tool to do it, but it looks like it might have to be me that does

Thanks,
