OutOfOffice is not working on some database.There is no error message if the users enabled the OutOfOffice from their Lotus Notes and the status shows OutOfOffice is on. But if I enable for them from View Agent, there is error message “unable to determine the schedule for the Agent Manager on xx.xx.xx.xx(my domino server ip_address)” when I click enable. After I click away the error message, the status shows enable. But no automatic reply sent to the sender.
In domino admin, can I check which users is currently enabled OutOfOffice.?
Does OutOfOffice require Admin intervention?
Is there a waiting time for the OutOfOffice to be functional after the users enable it?
I’m new to lotus notes/domino. Please guide me step by step for the menu/screen navigation. thx
tell aMgr run “mail/mailfilename.nsf” ‘OutOfOffice’
If that fails then, go to mail file - database properties and check the option “Disable background agent for this database” and press F9 then once again unchek the same option on the database.
If that fails then sign the database with current server id, administrator id etc and run th first command once again.
this will solve the problem. there is no issue with the size of the mail file. Thanks!!
I actually tried the command tell aMgr run “mail/mailfilename.nsf” ‘OutOfOffice’ last friday. But no luck. But this morning (Monday), The OutOfOffice is just working fine. Is there an interval for the OutOfOffice take effective after the user enable it from their lotus notes client?
If it happened again in future, I’d like to try your 3rd step. Could you guide me how to sign database with server id, administrator id? I’m very new to Lotus notes/domino.
