Outlook & Outlook Express Contacts

I have been reading about the nupgrade.exe for converting an Outlook/Outlook express client over to Lotus Notes. However, I have a need for those clients to maintain the Outlook and Outlook Express email accounts separately. The users have, however, expressed interest in getting just their contacts brought over from Outlook/Outlook Express to the Lotus Notes client. Is there an easier way of doing this instead of exporting the vcards from Outlook and importing them in to the Lotus Notes personal address book, instead of doing them one by one?

Thanks in advance.

There are quite a few ways to do this. The nupgrade.exe 3 option will prompt you to just do the contacts. Outlook needs to be the default mail system on the PC when you run this.

Then there is Binary Tree. A product you need to buy, probably not recommended for just contacts, as it is a sophistication migration tool for doing the whole kit and kaboodle.

There are alos other third party tools like PumaSync/IntelliSync which are quite nice. XTND connect is good. They allow you to Sync from a PDA to Outlook, from a PDA to Notes or directly from Outllok to Notes. Also does calendar as well.

The last option is to simply export the contacts list to a CSV file and use th import funnction in Notes, but beware and becareful to edit the column headings in the CSV file to match the field names on the Person/Contact form.

Good luck.

PS. There is lots of stuff about this all over this site, so have a search around.
