Outgong SMTP from external domain

I am trying to use the domino server to send mail from outside of the local domain. I set the relay settings to allow any authenticated user to relay.

I’m getting no connection and it times out.

I can receive POP3 mail without issue, so I know I am connecting to the server.

Have you set the mail client to authenticate when sending mail? Which mail client are you using?
