Hi,We have a person document configured with no internet address and want to configure Domino Server in such way that it automatically generates the proper address for this user.
Domino Domain=Dom, internet domain=domain.com.
We create a Global Domain Document for internet domain “domain.com” and configured internet address lookup as follow.
Local part formed from: Short name.
Domino Domains included: None
Domino Domain position: Right from @
Domain separator: . – period
The problem I face when sending emails with this account is that the domino domain name will be added to the internet domain name.
The senders address will be: Michel@DOM.domain.com, instead of Michel@domain.com.
Did some test and if I change Domino Domain name to domino.com instead of Dom in the global document, it will send the emails as: Michel@DOMAIN.COM, still I did not like the idea of changing this without knowing what the effects could be.
What is the way to configure Domino to generate the proper address for a person that does not have the internet address configured in its person document?
