I’m hoping someone might be able to help me. I searched the forums and couldn’t find a match for my problem. I apologize for double posting if the answer is indeed here.
Our SMTP server has stopped sending mail. At least on its own. This is a 6.0.3 server on Windows 2003 and has been successfully sending and receiving mail for quite a while now. All of our mail goes through an external site for virus scanning and spam blocking. Our server has no problem receiving inbound mail from the site, but will not send messages except when I stop and restart the router process. Then it will send all the mail that has been queued up.
I have rebooted the server but that did not clear up the problem. The server doc., Configuration doc. and connection document have not been touched. McAfee is running on this server and appears to be fine.
