Out of office service with version 7 client

Does anyone know if the new out of office service “plays well” with version 7.0.2 clients and the version 7 mail template?

If I enable the service will the agents in the 7 mail files still run?

is our conclusion.And don’t change to the 8.x-template for 7.x clients - they cannot edit their out-of-office-profile and so they cannot enable the agent.

Subject: Out of Office Service

that is correct. the out of office service needs a straight 8 environment - meaning ND8 server, all users on mail8.ntf using ND8 clients. additionally, the recommended upgrade process is:upgrade server

upgrade client

upgrade templates

this ensures you don’t run into any issues (new method additions, etc) with the template running on a lower release client.

Subject: Right - OOO service requires R8 server, client, and mail template

I remember reviewing some sort of R8 documentation that explained this, although I can’t find it at this point.

The out-of-office service requires a full R8+ environment – R8+ server, R8+ client, and R8+ mail template.
