Out of Office not on Tools menu after name change

I have a user whose name changed due to marriage and now in the Tools menu of her inbox the out of office option has disappeared. I have checked to make sure the owner of the mail file has the correct name under preferences and they have. What else can I do to rectify this problem?

Select the user name in Tools—preference from Global Address book and restart Lotus client and check

Sounds like the name on the id file isn’t correct - I usually just recreate the id file as long as that won’t cause you problems with encrypted emails/replicas.

You can check file->security->user security and make sure the name is right and matches the “this mail file belongs to”

To solve the actual issue, just that should be enough: Change the owner of the mail file to the new name manually. If adminp didn’t do it, it might be that the mail file is missing an administration server or that it is set to not have names fields updated.

I’m not sure this applies here, as you said it happened right after the name change, but if your user’s client version is lower than the mail template version, she is not able to see the OoO on the Tools menu (e.g. if the client is 6.5 and the mail template is 7.0.1).
