I have a user who set her out of office agent, and left town. When she came back and disabled the OOO agent, she noticed that all the messages received on the first day the agent ran were in black text, indicating that she had already read the messages.
She claims she did not read the messages at all.
Does anyone have any experience with the Out of Office agent marking documents “read”? I’ve never seen it happen before, but first time for everything. I would put it down to a one-off, and forget it, but you know how users get when they think someone has been reading their mail!
BTW – client and server are both 6.0.3, and the mail file template is 6.0.3, with a few modifications.
Subject: Out of Office Marking Documents as Read?
Read/unread is based on the id. If the out office agent is signed by her id, that would mark it read as her id accessed it.

Yes, I am aware of how read/unread marks are set. However, I have never seen the Out of Office agent mark mail as read.
And especially, I have never seen it mark mail as read on only one of multiple days the agent is enabled.

That is a good one… Does anyone else have her ID?

Well, she says no, but you never know.Strange thing is, it’s just the one day, not the entire time she was out of the office.

PKRay,I know it’s been a few months, but did you ever resolve this issue ? I have users with the same problem. All documents “read” just during the time OOO was enabled. 6.0.3
Thank You Very Much for any help
