Out of office - disable reminder issue

I changed to the router-based OOO. Now some of my users are receiving the “Please disable OOO” reminder message every day.

I think these users had their OOO set before I changed from agent-based to router-based and now they are sort of caught in limbo.

I had one user reset their OOO over the weekend so it would expire on a Sunday hoping it would clear itself but she continues to receive the “Please disable” reminder message every day.

Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Subject: OOO Disabled?

They have disabled their OOO, right? If so, what happens to the request to disable it?

Is the agent running in their mailfile? Have you tried disabling it manually?

Subject: Yes - user disabled OOO

The user followed the directions in the reminder e-mail. Her OOO says it’s disabled but she gets the reminder every day.

Subject: agent running?

Subject: Just did…

Sorry, forgot to react to part of your reply. I manually disabled the OOO agent for the user. I didn’t think about that. Thanks for the suggestion. The agent disappeared from the admin agents view. That should take care of the problem.

Thanks again.

Subject: An Interesting Case

This is an interesting one. There are numerous pre-requisites listed in the Domino 8 documentation around OOO but ensuring the agent is disabled in user mailfiles before enabling the service doesn’t appear to be one of them.

Maybe somebody from IBM could pick this up as a documentation update?

Subject: Your update was from what server/client version to to what server/client version?

My understanding was that it was possible to upgrade the user to the service while the agent was enabled.

Can you tell me the two versions involved in the upgrade?

Thanks!
